November Challenge is On!

by craig on Oct.31, 2009, under News and Events

Every November I do a personal challenge with my Vancouver  personal training and boot camp clients. What we do is choose one thing to give up for the month or add something in for the whole month. For myself I am doing no alcohol for the month and adding  20 minutes of cardio every day. Last month with only cutting alcohol I dropped 7 lbs and felt great.

Would you like to join? Please add a comment with what you will be adding or dropping for the next 30 days. I am gathering prizes. Everyone who completes the challenge will be entered to win. If you only do cardio 28/30 days  you may still have a chance , let me know your totals. Prizes will be announced here next week.

Print this calendar and put you goal down and mark it off as you go.

    Hello!
I am going to give up coffee for November (I already don’t drink alcohol, so that would be to easy). I am also going to break a sweat every day, either in Craig’s boot camp class or some form of cardio, I am also going to push myself to be able to do 15 “real” push-ups (I can currently do 5).

I’m in for NFN! Adding 30mins cardio per day (haven’t worked out since the 80’s so this is a good start) and no alcohol for first 13 days (ok I’m a wimp).
    Thanks for the inspiration Craig!

Craig How opportune! — This weekend I was just contemplating a more consistent strengthening regime to repair a damaged shoulder and knee preparing me for the ski season. Daily I will do a series of shoulder exercises, with and without weights, and at least three times per week do leg presses, leg curls, and related exercises to strengthen my right knee. — John

Do it John make your goal to do your shoulder exercises…..

CB, I’m gonna use your challenge as a template(sort of) and do the 20 mins cardio thing, no alcohol(does beer count?), figure out how to do double unders properly(atleast 10 in arow without a skip inbetween!). Learn how to do the snatch…

  • craig

Yes beer is alcohol, great goals!

Ok I’m in! I want to do 5 full pull ups by Dec (can currently do 1 and a half). 3 drinks per week max, not up for giving it up completely too much fun stuff going on. 5 sugar free days per week. PB 1/2 marathon on November 29. Thanks Craig!

  • craig

Awesome! bring it, you will get 10!

I am down for running 100 km in Nov and no nachos or chips…. trust me, my once a week indulgence will be sorely missed….

  • Susan

NO HALLOWEEN CANDY!!!! Gotta stop eating dessert now that I’m not marathon training.
I’m going to add one Power Yoga class/ week and bike commute when possible.

  • Mary Murray

I am going to give up dessert (gasp!) for 25 of 30 days. But, in my lawyerly way I will note this all depends on the definition of ‘dessert’, which I think I will give a very narrow interpretation…

This is great, btw Craig, very generous of you and Precision!
